Description

The be quiet! Pure Base 500DX Black is a Midi Tower PC case engineered for high airflow and efficient cooling. The case features an air-permeable front and top cover, easily removable dust filters on the front and bottom, a tempered glass side window and a bottom-mounted power supply area with a functional PSU shroud. It supports ATX, Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX motherboards and provides space for large graphics cards and coolers up to 190 mm in height.

Advantages

The chassis comes with three preinstalled 140 mm Pure Wings 2 fans tuned for low-noise operation and optimized blade geometry for effective airflow. ARGB lighting at the front and inside the case enables multiple colors and modes and can be synchronized with a compatible motherboard or ARGB controller. Front I/O includes a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C connector and a switch to control interior and exterior LEDs. The PSU shroud conceals cables and houses a repositionable double HDD cage with decoupled mountings to reduce vibration.

How to use

Install the motherboard supported by the case (ATX/Micro-ATX/Mini-ITX) on the standoffs, mount the power supply from behind onto the PSU bracket and route cables under the PSU shroud for a neat interior. Fit drives into the HDD/SSD mounts — two SSDs can be positioned for viewing through the tempered glass window — and connect front-panel connectors, including the USB-C port. Install additional fans or radiators as required: up to a 360 mm radiator at the front or up to 240 mm at the top. Use the front-panel LED switch or motherboard ARGB header to configure lighting.

Usage recommendations

For optimal airflow and noise balance, use the preinstalled 140 mm Pure Wings 2 fans in intake at the front and exhaust at the rear/top. Regularly clean the front and bottom dust filters to maintain cooling performance. When using a front 360 mm radiator, check compatibility with drive cage position and reposition the HDD cage if needed.
