Aluminium Mini Clamp Bessey AM (MPN AM4) — compact hand clamp for small workpieces

The Bessey Aluminium Mini Clamp AM is a compact hand clamp designed for securing small workpieces during gluing, assembly, hobby and light workshop tasks. Its aluminium body reduces overall weight while maintaining stable clamping action, making it suitable for delicate components where controlled pressure and precision are important. The clamp's compact dimensions and straightforward operation allow quick positioning and reliable holding of small parts in model making, fine carpentry, electronics repairs and craft projects.

Advantages

The aluminium construction provides a lightweight tool that is easy to handle for extended periods without sacrificing rigidity. The clamp delivers precise pressure control to avoid damage to fragile materials and offers a firm grip for consistent holding force. Its compact size makes it convenient for tight spaces and small assemblies, and the ergonomic handle enables predictable manual tightening and release.

Suitable for

• Model making and scale hobby projects
• Small carpentry touch-ups and trim work
• Electronics assembly and component holding
• Gluing small parts and craft applications

When it may not be suitable

This mini clamp is intended for light-duty tasks and small workpieces; it is not designed for heavy clamping, high-torque applications or large structural assemblies. For jobs that require very high clamping forces, broad contact surfaces, or industrial-scale fixtures, a larger steel clamp or machine vise will be more appropriate.

Key specifications

• Material: aluminium body with hardened steel clamping surfaces
• Designed for small/compact workpieces and light-duty clamping
• Manual hand clamp operation with ergonomic handle
• Low weight for easier handling and reduced user fatigue

How to use

Position the clamp so that the clamping surfaces contact the workpiece at the desired points. Turn the handle to advance the clamping jaw until the workpiece is held firmly but without excessive force. Check alignment and pressure, especially on delicate materials, and adjust as needed. To release, turn the handle in the opposite direction until the workpiece can be removed. Use protective pads or scrap material between the clamp and sensitive surfaces if additional protection is required.

What to consider before purchase

• Confirm clamp throat depth and jaw opening match the size of your workpieces
• Evaluate required clamping force for your tasks; this model is for light-duty work
• Consider whether protective jaw pads are needed to prevent surface damage
• Check compatibility with confined spaces and the available clearance for handle operation

Usage recommendations

Use the clamp for holding and aligning small parts during glue curing, assembly and light repair tasks; avoid over-torquing the handle and apply protective padding on delicate surfaces to preserve finishes and prevent deformation.
