BIG floor squeegee 550 mm with foam blade model BIG-SP55/U
The BIG floor squeegee 550 mm with foam blade (model BIG-SP55/U) is a cleaning tool designed for efficient removal of water and liquid residues from hard floors, tiles and other smooth surfaces. With a 550 mm working width and a porous foam blade, this squeegee provides even contact with the surface to collect liquids and minimise streaking. It attaches simply to compatible handles and is intended for janitorial, commercial and light industrial cleaning tasks where fast drying and controlled liquid collection are required.
The foam blade conforms to irregularities on hard floors to improve contact and pick up more liquid than a rigid rubber edge on some surfaces. The 550 mm width balances coverage and manoeuvrability, making the tool suitable for corridors, hallways and medium-sized floor areas. The simple handle attachment system allows quick replacement and secure fixation, while the porous foam reduces streaks and helps concentrate collected liquid for easier removal.
Attach the squeegee head securely to a compatible handle following the handle manufacturer’s connection method. Position the foam blade at a shallow angle to the floor and pull the squeegee toward you in a steady motion to gather liquids into a central line for collection. For larger volumes, work from the outer area toward a single collection point and remove the pooled liquid with a mop, bucket or wet vacuum. Rinse the foam blade after use and allow it to dry to maintain performance.
Use the squeegee on sealed and smooth surfaces only; avoid rough or highly textured floors that can damage the foam blade. Replace the foam blade when it shows signs of tearing or reduced absorbency. For best results, use in combination with an appropriate handle length to maintain a comfortable working posture and to improve control when collecting liquids.
