Teflon thread seal tape Bisan TAŚMA TEFLON STANDARD 0.075 mm × 12 mm × 12 m (white roll) is a white PTFE tape designed for sealing pipe threads in water systems and fittings. With a thickness of 0.075 mm, width of 12 mm and roll length of 12 m, the tape is intended to prevent leaks, facilitate assembly and disassembly of threaded plumbing joints and provide a chemically inert, low-friction sealing layer between metal and plastic threads.

How to use

Clean and dry the male thread before applying the tape. Hold the tape with the free end pointing away from the fitting, then wrap clockwise around the male threads, overlapping by approximately half the tape width on each turn. Apply 3–6 wraps depending on thread size and taper; avoid wrapping across the thread face to prevent excess tape entering the pipeline. Press the tape into the thread grooves with fingers to conform to the profile, then assemble the joint and tighten to the required torque.

Usage recommendations

Use this PTFE tape for water and typical heating system threads; for gas applications, high-pressure systems, or chemically aggressive media, choose a tape specified for those uses. Store the roll in a dry place away from direct sunlight and contaminants to maintain sealing performance.
