Internal Parallel Interface Card BIXOLON IFG-P/Type — USB host, Parallel output, for SRP-350plus
BIXOLON IFG-P/Type is an internal interface card that adds USB host connectivity together with a parallel output for compatible receipt printers from the SRP-350plus series. The card enables integration of legacy parallel devices into modern point-of-sale setups while providing a USB host port for peripheral connections. It supports IEEE1284 parallel communication for stable, higher-speed data transfer and maintains standard connector wiring for straightforward installation in supported printers.
The interface card offers a combination of USB host functionality and a parallel port in a single internal module, allowing simultaneous support for newer USB peripherals and older parallel-based equipment. IEEE1284 support improves communication speed and reliability compared with basic parallel implementations. The card uses standard connector pinouts and consistent cable configuration, which reduces installation errors and simplifies replacement or service tasks.
Install the card into the designated internal interface slot of the SRP-350plus printer following the printer manufacturer’s service instructions. After physical installation, connect the parallel cable to the card’s parallel port and attach any required USB peripherals to the USB host port. Configure the printer’s interface settings through the printer utility or POS software to enable the chosen communication mode. Verify connectivity and print a test receipt to confirm correct operation.
Use shielded, properly terminated parallel cables and USB peripherals recommended for POS environments to maintain signal integrity. When installing, power down the printer and follow ESD precautions. If both USB and parallel peripherals are connected, confirm that the POS software and printer settings are set to the intended active interface to avoid data routing conflicts.
