Video capture device Blackmagic Web Presenter HD — 720p/1080p/2160p, 60 Hz, H.264/H.265, USB-C, AC/DC power
Blackmagic Web Presenter HD is a professional video capture and streaming device that supports 720p, 1080p and 2160p resolutions at up to 60 Hz. The unit encodes video using H.264 or H.265 and outputs a webcam-compatible stream over USB Type-C for use with standard conferencing and recording software. It also provides direct streaming via Ethernet and can use mobile data through a connected 4G/5G phone. The device accepts AC power (100–240 V) or 12 V DC input and includes a monitoring output with video, audio meters and trend graphs for real-time signal evaluation.
The Blackmagic Web Presenter HD combines multi-resolution capture (720p/1080p/2160p) with hardware H.264/H.265 encoding to reduce CPU load on connected computers. USB-C webcam output simplifies integration with popular streaming and conferencing applications, while Ethernet streaming enables direct broadcast to platforms such as YouTube and Facebook without additional software. Mobile data support via a phone adds flexibility for remote or field streaming. Built-in monitoring tools provide immediate visual and audio feedback to ensure signal quality during production.
Connect your video source to the Web Presenter HD inputs, choose the desired output resolution and frame rate, and select H.264 or H.265 encoding. For direct streaming, connect an Ethernet cable and configure the streaming destination and credentials. To use the device as a webcam, connect it to a computer via USB-C and select it as the video input in your streaming or conferencing application. For mobile or remote streaming, pair or tether a compatible 4G/5G phone and enable mobile data streaming. Use the monitoring output and built-in audio meters to verify signal integrity and adjust levels before and during the stream.
For stable streaming, prefer a wired Ethernet connection when available and select H.264 for broad compatibility; use H.265 when bandwidth is limited and your destination supports it. Verify power requirements for continuous operation and monitor audio levels via the built-in meters. When streaming on location, test mobile tethering beforehand and ensure the phone’s data plan and signal strength meet the expected bitrate.
