Gel Battery BLOW 82-403 12V 7.2Ah bluetec – rechargeable lead-acid gel battery
Gel Battery BLOW 82-403 12V 7.2Ah bluetec is a sealed, maintenance-free lead-acid gel battery intended for standby and small DC power applications. With a 12-volt nominal voltage and 7.2 ampere-hour capacity, this rechargeable gel battery provides compact backup power for alarm panels, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), emergency lighting and portable devices. The gel electrolyte design reduces risk of leakage and allows flexible mounting positions while offering reliable float and cyclic performance for standard backup and intermittent use.
The gel construction provides stable performance with low self-discharge and minimal maintenance compared with flooded batteries. Its sealed design prevents spills and corrosion, making it suitable for indoor installations in cabinets and enclosures. The 7.2Ah capacity balances runtime and compact size, offering a practical compromise for many standby and portable DC uses. Rechargeability and predictable float characteristics support integration into UPS systems and alarm power supplies.
This battery is not intended for high-current starting applications (for example automotive engine starting) or for continuous heavy cyclic deep-discharge use without an appropriate charge controller. For systems requiring very long autonomy times or frequent deep-cycle cycling, larger capacity or purpose-built deep-cycle batteries may be more appropriate.
Install the battery in a dry, ventilated enclosure away from direct heat sources and corrosive materials. Connect to the equipment according to polarity markings, using correct-size terminals and secure connections. Charge the battery with a compatible lead-acid gel battery charger or a charger with a gel-specific charging profile; normal charging voltages and float settings for 12V gel batteries should be followed. Observe recommended charge/discharge limits and avoid deep discharges to extend service life. For standby applications, keep the battery under float charge and perform periodic voltage and capacity checks according to system maintenance schedules.
For reliable backup performance, keep the battery on a proper float charge when not in use and replace it if capacity drops significantly after routine capacity checks. Store batteries charged, in a cool dry place, and avoid prolonged storage in a discharged state to prevent capacity loss.
