BLOW Kapton tape 8 mm x 33 m, heat-resistant polyimide adhesive tape (model 6294#)
BLOW Kapton tape 8 mm x 33 m is a heat-resistant polyimide adhesive tape designed for electrical insulation, PCB masking and thermal protection. The self-adhesive Kapton film delivers stable dielectric properties and maintains adhesion and dimensional stability at elevated temperatures, which makes it suitable for soldering, electronics assembly and repair tasks that require reliable thermal and electrical performance.
The tape provides high temperature resistance and stable electrical insulation without adding significant thickness. Its narrow 8 mm width allows precise application on circuit boards and components while the 33 m length reduces the need for frequent replacement. The polyimide backing offers chemical and thermal stability, and the pressure-sensitive adhesive ensures easy handling and consistent adhesion on clean surfaces.
Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free of dust, oil or flux residues before applying the tape. Cut or tear the required length and apply with light pressure to establish adhesion; smooth the tape to eliminate air bubbles and ensure full contact with the substrate. For PCB masking, cover pads and components that must be protected from solder or conformal coating. Remove the tape after the process is complete, pulling at a low angle to avoid lifting nearby components.
Store the tape in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid stretching the tape during application to maintain dielectric properties. For best results, use on surfaces with temperature and chemical exposure within the material's specified limits and test on a small area if adhesion or residue behavior is a concern.
