The Boompods Boomtag is a pocket-size, pod-shaped item finder that works with the Apple Find My app to help you locate keys, wallets and other belongings. Made from reclaimed ocean-bound plastic in collaboration with #tide and processed using a mechanical recycling method developed with the Swiss University of Applied Sciences OST, the Boomtag offers tracking functionality while using a material that reduces ocean plastic waste. Each pack contains four trackers in Black, Blue, Pink and White and each tracker uses a CR2032 battery with an approximate one-year lifespan. Compatible with iOS and macOS devices.

How to use

Attach a Boomtag to the item you want to track and install or open the Apple Find My app on your iPhone, iPad or Mac. Follow the app pairing instructions to add the tracker to your Apple ID. Once paired, use the Find My app to view the tracker’s last known location on a map, play the 94 dB sound to locate nearby items, or mark the item as lost to allow the Find My network to help locate it remotely. The tracker emits a secure Bluetooth signal that is relayed anonymously by nearby Apple devices to iCloud for display in the app.

Usage recommendations

For best performance, replace the CR2032 battery about once a year or when the Find My app indicates low battery. Keep the tracker within typical Bluetooth range for pairing and routine locating; if you rely on the wider Find My network, maintain your device’s iOS/macOS updates to ensure compatibility and security.
