How to use

Attach the microphone to your camera’s hot shoe or use a suitable mount, then connect the appropriate 3.5 mm cable (TRS for cameras/recorders, TRRS for smartphones). Aim the microphone toward the subject to take advantage of the cardioid pickup pattern. There is no battery to install; the microphone is ready to use once connected. Usage recommendations

For best results, position the BOYA BY-MM1 within 30–60 cm of the speaker and point the microphone directly at the sound source.
