How to use

Connect the appropriate cable (TRS for cameras/recorders or TRRS for smartphones) to the microphone and plug the 3.5 mm jack into the device's mic input. Mount the microphone on the camera hot shoe or use a suitable adapter, and attach the anti-shock mount to minimise handling noise. Point the microphone toward the subject to take advantage of the cardioid pattern, and check input levels in your device to avoid clipping. No battery is required; the microphone draws power through the connected device where applicable.

Usage recommendations

For best results, position the microphone within 30–60 cm of the speaker and avoid placing it near strong wind or noisy surfaces. Use a foam windshield or external windscreen when recording outdoors to reduce wind noise.
