How to use

Set up the aluminium tripod on stable ground and mount the azimuthal head. Attach the optical tube to the mount and secure the spreader bar and eyepiece holders. Always fit the CE-certified solar objective filter to the front of the telescope before pointing at the Sun; never use the telescope for solar observations without the filter. Insert one of the supplied eyepieces and, if desired, a Barlow lens to change magnification. Use the azimuthal controls to centre the target. For smartphone photos, fix the phone in the supplied holder and align its camera with the eyepiece.

Usage recommendations

Inspect the solar filter before each use for scratches or damage and store it away from direct sunlight when not in use. Do not look at the Sun through the telescope without the certified filter fitted. For best results when imaging with a smartphone, use a steady tripod surface and fine-tune focus using the telescope's focuser while the phone is aligned.
