The Bresser Advance ICD trinocular stereo and biological microscope delivers a wide magnification range from 10x to 160x using a stereo zoom objective (1x–4x), interchangeable wide-field eyepieces (10x and 20x) and an auxiliary 2x lens. Its height‑adjustable, 360° rotatable trinocular head allows observation of larger objects such as rocks or thick circuit boards and supports simultaneous photography via an SLR camera or a PC eyepiece mounted to the trinocular port while visual observation continues through the right ocular. Individual interpupillary distance and diopter compensation are adjustable. Bright halogen illumination with dimmer and a blue filter provides reflected and transmitted light, separately switchable or usable together, producing detailed, high‑contrast images.

How to use

Place the microscope on a stable, level surface and connect it to a 230 V AC power source. Install the desired eyepieces and, if higher magnification is needed, fit the 2x auxiliary lens. Adjust interpupillary distance and set diopter compensation for a sharp, single image. Select reflected or transmitted illumination (or both) using the individual switches, and adjust brightness with the dimmer. Position the object on the stage or under the stereo head and use the zoom control to set the required magnification. To take photographs, mount an SLR camera or a compatible PC eyepiece to the trinocular port while observing through the right ocular.

Usage recommendations

For best results, start with the lowest magnification to locate the specimen, then increase magnification gradually. Use the blue filter for improved colour contrast in transmitted‑light observation. Ensure the halogen lamps are handled and replaced according to the manufacturer’s safety instructions.
