How to use

Install three AA batteries in the battery compartment and place the microscope on a stable, level surface. Select an objective and an eyepiece, then use coarse and fine focus to bring the specimen into sharp view. Adjust transmitted LED illumination for thin, transparent slides or use the incident LED plus appropriate aperture and filter settings for opaque objects such as leaves or insects. To vary magnification smoothly, pull out the auxiliary Barlow lens in the eyepiece socket and adjust it as needed. Use the smartphone adapter to align your phone camera with the eyepiece and capture images.

Usage recommendations

For best results, start observations at the lowest magnification (40×), center and focus the specimen, then increase magnification stepwise. Clean slides and cover glasses before use, handle objectives gently when changing, and store the microscope in the included hard-shell case to protect optics during transport.
