BREWIS moving eyelets RO13 – sizes 12–20 mm, pack of 40 – BREWIS RO13
BREWIS moving eyelets RO13 are metal fittings supplied in a pack of 40 pieces and available in sizes from 12 mm to 20 mm. These eyelets are designed to produce reinforced, rotatable openings in textiles and craft materials that allow cords, ropes or fasteners to pass through cleanly while reducing fabric wear. Suitable for use on fabrics, tarpaulins, curtains and various repair or sewing projects, the BREWIS RO13 moving eyelets create a tidy finish and functional mobility for closures and adjustable attachments.
BREWIS RO13 moving eyelets offer a durable metal construction that reinforces fabric holes and distributes load over a larger area, reducing tearing. Their moving (rotatable) design permits smoother movement of cords and straps, minimising abrasion and extending the service life of both the eyelet and the base material. Supplied in a practical pack of 40 and offered in a range of diameters, they provide flexibility for different cord sizes and project requirements.
Select the eyelet size that matches the diameter of the cord or fastener and mark the position on the material. Cut a hole slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the eyelet barrel, insert the eyelet through the hole, position the washer or backing piece on the reverse side if provided, and fix the parts together using an appropriate hand press, setting tool or hammer-and-anvil method as recommended for metal eyelets. Ensure the eyelet is seated squarely and the material is held taut while setting to achieve a neat, secure finish.
For longer service life, use eyelets with a size that leaves sufficient material around the hole to prevent tearing; pre-reinforce weakened or thin fabrics. When working with heavy canvas or reinforced tarpaulin, use a compatible setting tool or press to ensure a consistently secure installation.
