The Stanley FATMAX Xtreme Chalk Set (Black) is a 30 m chalk line kit with an aluminium housing and black finish designed for marking straight lines in construction, carpentry and general layout tasks. The set includes a chalk box with a visible chalk window and an on-board hook storage, and it uses a twisted polyester and cotton line with a chalk powder formulated to provide good adhesion and high visibility. The compact aluminium body and belt clip make the tool easy to carry on job sites.
The aluminium housing offers durability while keeping the tool lightweight. The chalk view window allows quick visual checks of remaining chalk without opening the unit. The included hook storage on the body keeps accessories accessible, and the belt clip enables hands-free transport. The twisted polyester and cotton line combines strength and flexibility for accurate snapping, and the specially formulated powder is waterproof and resists clumping so the line remains usable after exposure to moisture. The 30 m line length supports a wide range of marking distances.
Open the chalk box and fill with the recommended powder following the manufacturer's instructions. Secure the hook at the desired end point and pull the 30 m line to the other anchoring point. Tension the line and snap it against the surface to transfer the chalk mark for a straight reference line. Check the chalk view window periodically to determine when refilling is needed. After use, wipe off excess chalk and store the unit in a dry place to prolong the life of the housing and line.
For best results use on firm, reasonably clean surfaces and avoid excessive abrasive contact with the line. If the tool becomes wet, allow it to dry before refilling with chalk; the powder resists clumping but drying helps maintain consistent performance. Replace the line if fraying appears to ensure straight, accurate snaps.
