Description

The BTR NETCOM 130863-E Multicolour wire connector is a straight, fully shielded metal coupler for connecting or extending data cables up to Cat.7A. It supports solid conductors AWG 26/1 to 22/1 and allows cable entry from one or both sides. The connector can also split an 8-wire cable into two 4-wire outputs when used with cable ties on input and output sides.

Advantages

Fully shielded metal housing provides electromagnetic protection and a captive 360° shield connection with integrated strain relief. The design complies with class E to ISO/IEC 11801 Ed.2.2:2011-06 when combined with Cat.6, Cat.6A, Cat.7 or Cat.7A cables and Cat.6 connectors. Two bore holes allow secure wall mounting.

How to use

Strip the cable to the manufacturer-recommended length and insert the solid conductors (AWG 26/1–22/1) into the connector. For a straight through connection, feed the cable from one or both sides as required and secure the shield using the captive 360° shield connection. If splitting an 8-wire cable into two 4-wire outputs, position cable ties on the input and output sides to separate pairs as indicated, then close and secure the connector housing. Use the integrated strain relief and mount the connector to a wall using the two bore holes when fixed installation is needed.
