Wire Connector METZ CONNECT 130B21-E

The METZ CONNECT 130B21-E wire connector is a modular Cat.6A RJ45 termination unit in a keystone, 180° cable-feed form factor. It has a one-piece, reusable zinc die-cast housing with a silver finish and copper-plated contacts. The compact connector (14.7 × 36 × 20 mm) is supplied in packs of 10 and is suitable for Cat6/6e/6A cabling, supporting 10 GBit Ethernet, PoE variants and HDBaseT.

Advantages

The connector provides tool-free mounting with a strain relief that snaps directly onto the stuffer cap and offers easy insulation displacement (IDC) termination for solid AWG 26/1 to 22/1 and stranded AWG 26/7 to 22/7 conductors. Intelligent cable management in the stuffer cap accommodates heavily twisted cables, while conductor assignment for T568A and T568B is printed directly on the stuffer cap. The component is tested and certified to relevant Cat.6A standards and certified to GHMT for re-embedded PVP.

How to use

Prepare the data cable and strip the outer sheath according to the length required by the stuffer cap. Place the conductor pairs into the stuffer cap following the printed T568A or T568B colour coding, then press the conductor into the IDC contacts using the stuffer cap until a secure connection is made. Snap the strain relief onto the stuffer cap and insert the keystone module into the outlet or patch panel until it clicks into place.

Usage recommendations

For reliable performance, use solid or stranded copper conductors within the specified AWG range and maintain recommended cable bend radii. Verify conductor assignment (T568A or T568B) across the installation to ensure correct end-to-end wiring. Observe applicable installation standards and test links after termination to confirm compliance with Cat.6A performance requirements.
