Lens Pouch Calumet Calumet Lens Pouch 7 - 12.5 x 29 cm, soft protective case for lenses

Calumet Lens Pouch 7 is a soft protective case with internal dimensions of approximately 12.5 x 29 cm designed to store and transport interchangeable camera lenses. The pouch is made for everyday use and provides basic protection against dust, light impacts and surface scratches while fitting small to medium telephoto or zoom lenses. Its compact shape allows convenient placement inside camera bags, backpacks or luggage for travel and fieldwork.

Advantages

The pouch combines a lightweight, flexible outer material with a padded interior to reduce the risk of abrasion and minor shocks to the lens barrel. Its slim profile and simple closure make it easy to slide into compartments alongside camera bodies and accessories. The neutral design and durable stitching prioritise function, offering reliable short-term protection without adding significant bulk or weight.

Suitable for

• Small to medium telephoto lenses (prime and zoom) with lengths up to around 29 cm
• General lens storage inside camera bags and backpacks
• Short trips, commute and travel where lightweight, compact protection is required
• Fieldwork and outdoor shoots needing basic dust and scratch protection

When it may not be suitable

This soft pouch is not intended to provide the same level of impact protection as a hard case or a heavily padded rolling case. It will not protect against strong impacts, crushing forces or immersion in water. For heavy telephoto lenses, large professional zooms, or situations with significant risk of impacts or moisture exposure, consider a more rigid, water-resistant carrying solution.

Key specifications

• Internal size: approximately 12.5 x 29 cm
• Type: soft padded pouch for interchangeable camera lenses
• Protection: dust resistance, scratch resistance, light impact cushioning
• Suitable lens types: small to medium telephoto and zoom lenses
• Use environments: camera bag, backpack, suitcase, travel and fieldwork

How to use

Slide the lens into the pouch with the rear and front elements covered by the padded walls, then close the opening according to the pouch’s closure method so the lens remains centered and secure. Place the pouch inside a camera bag compartment or backpack pocket, separating it from heavy items that could press against the lens. For transport, position the pouch so it is cushioned by other soft items and avoid placing heavy gear directly on top.

What to consider before purchase

• Measure your lens length and compare to the pouch internal size to ensure a proper fit
• Consider whether you need water resistance or stronger impact protection
• Check whether additional internal dividers or separate padding are required in your bag

Usage recommendations

For routine storage and travel, use the Calumet Lens Pouch 7 to protect lenses from dust and minor scratches. Combine with a padded camera bag or additional inserts if you carry several lenses or heavier equipment. Avoid exposing the pouch to heavy impacts, prolonged moisture or extreme compression to maintain protective performance.
