Canon Matt Coated 140 g/m² 24" is a matte photo and inkjet paper engineered for high-quality photographic and graphic reproduction. With a weight of 140 g/m² and a caliper of 186 µm, the sheet delivers a stable, printable substrate suitable for proofs, brochures, portfolios and indoor display materials where a non-gloss finish is preferred. The bright whiteness (147 ±3 CIE) supports neutral tones and an extended color gamut, and the coating is formulated to be compatible with both dye and pigment inks.
The matt coating provides low reflectivity and a natural appearance while maintaining excellent ink holdout for sharp detail and accurate color. Fast drying characteristics reduce blocking and enable quicker post-print handling. High opacity and bright white base minimise show-through on double-sided work and improve perceived image density. The paper is suitable for lamination and other finishing processes, delivering consistent runnability on high-volume production equipment.
Verify printer compatibility with matte coated inkjet media and select the appropriate media type in the printer driver to optimise ink application and drying. Load sheets or rolls (24" width) aligned to the printer’s feed guides to avoid skewing. Allow prints to dry fully before stacking, cutting or laminating; although the surface has fast drying properties, additional drying time may be beneficial for heavy ink coverage. For double-sided printing, test and adjust settings to prevent show-through and ensure registration accuracy.
Store unused paper in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and high humidity. Handle sheets by the edges to avoid fingerprints on the printable surface. When producing high-volume or colour-critical work, run pre-production tests to fine-tune color profiles and printer settings, and use lamination if increased durability or moisture resistance is required for the finished piece.
