Digital microscope Carson MICROFLIP 250x Black Stainless steel
The Carson MICROFLIP MP-250 is a compact, battery-powered pocket microscope offering 100x–250x magnification in a durable black and stainless steel body. It features a flip-down slide base with an aspheric lens system for improved image sharpness and an integrated UV flashlight for tasks such as counterfeit detection and nectar mapping. The kit includes a smartphone digiscoping clip, one starter slide with cover slip, and a wrist strap for portability. The device accepts one AA battery (not included) and is suitable for field use and educational exploration.
The MicroFlip combines high magnification (100x–250x) with an aspheric lens system and a flip-down slide base to produce clear, precise images in a pocket-sized microscope. The built-in UV flashlight expands its use beyond visible inspection, and the included smartphone digiscoping clip enables easy photo and video capture with most smartphone models. Lightweight construction and simple battery power make it convenient for fieldwork and hobby use.
Install one AA battery, unfold the flip-down slide base and place your specimen on the starter slide or directly on the base if appropriate. Adjust the position of the aspheric lens to achieve focus and switch on the LED illumination or UV flashlight as required for your inspection. To capture images or video, attach the smartphone digiscoping clip over your phone’s camera, align the lens with the microscope eyepiece, open your phone’s camera app and record or photograph the magnified subject.
For best results, use thin, clean slides and avoid thick protective phone cases when attaching the digiscoping clip; remove bulky cases if alignment is difficult. Use the UV flashlight only as directed and avoid direct eye exposure. Store the MicroFlip dry and remove the battery during long-term storage to prevent corrosion.
