Heat-shrink tubing CellPack 144406, black, 100 cm length
Heat-shrink tubing CellPack 144406, black, 100 cm length is a thin-wall thermoplastic sleeve designed to provide electrical insulation, mechanical protection and bundling for wires and cable assemblies. The black tube has a 100 cm length and a nominal diameter of 2.4 cm before shrinking; it conforms tightly to cables and connectors when heat is applied, improving dielectric properties and protecting against moisture, chemical agents and UV exposure. The material is non-corrosive, inscribable and stabilized for outdoor or indoor installations where flexible, reliable protection is required.
This heat shrink tube offers superior electrical properties and high tensile strength while remaining highly flexible. It is resistant to chemical agents and stabilized against UV rays, which extends service life in exposed environments. The product is self-extinguishing (except transparent variants) and free from paint-wetting inhibiting substances, and it resists cold flow and thermal degradation. Because it is thin-walled and without thermoplastic adhesive, it is suitable for applications that require close-fitting insulation and easy marking.
Cut the heat-shrink tubing to the required length, slide it over the cable, joint or connector, and apply even heat using a heat gun, hot-air tool or another controlled heat source until the tube uniformly shrinks and conforms to the substrate. Allow the sleeve to cool naturally to complete the sealing and stabilization process. For best results maintain a consistent heat source distance and move the heat source along the tube to avoid local overheating or scorching.
For electrical insulation and mechanical protection, choose tubing with an initial diameter that provides sufficient coverage before shrinking. Avoid open flames; use a regulated heat gun when possible. Because this variant has no thermoplastic adhesive, ensure a snug fit and consider additional sealing methods for long-term waterproofing in submerged or highly damp environments. For marking, use inks or engraving tools compatible with polyethylene-type surfaces.
