Heat shrink tubing CellPack CR 3.2/1.6 - 1/8" black, Model 427521
CellPack heat shrink tubing CR 3.2/1.6 - 1/8" in black (model 427521) is a polyolefin insulating sleeve engineered for electrical insulation, mechanical protection and strain relief of wire joints and cable terminations. With a nominal diameter of 3.2 mm that reduces to approximately 1.6 mm after shrinking, this tubing is suitable for repairing damaged insulation, bundling small conductor sets and providing a moisture-resistant cover for soldered or crimped connections in electronics, automotive and general wiring tasks.
The tubing provides reliable electrical insulation and improves mechanical durability of connections while occupying minimal space after shrinkage. Its polyolefin construction offers resistance to abrasion and common environmental factors encountered in everyday wiring. The black colour allows for discreet application and easy visual matching with existing harnesses.
Slide a suitable length of heat shrink tubing over the wire or joint before making the final connection. After soldering or crimping is complete, position the tubing so it fully covers the exposed area. Apply heat evenly using a controlled heat source such as a heat gun, hot air tool or appropriate soldering iron attachment until the tubing uniformly contracts to its final diameter and conforms to the underlying shape. Allow the tubing to cool to room temperature before handling.
For consistent results, use a regulated heat gun and avoid direct flame. Select tubing length with at least 5–10 mm overlap beyond the exposed conductor. Inspect for complete shrinkage and adhesion; repeat heating briefly if necessary to eliminate air gaps.
