Cisco RF240 N-Male to N-Male Pigtail Cable 0.5M NM/NM/0.5M

The Cisco PIGTAIL N-MALE/N-MALE RF240 0.5M is a specialized high-frequency coaxial jumper cable engineered to establish dependable physical connections between wireless network devices and external antennas. Manufactured by Cisco, this short-length pigtail cable utilizes robust N-Male connectors on both extremities and incorporates quality RF240 cable construction, making it an essential component for seamless signal transmission in demanding telecommunication and networking environments.

Advantages

This Cisco RF240 coaxial jumper cable delivers exceptional signal integrity over short distances by minimizing attenuation and insertion loss in high-frequency applications. The inclusion of durable N-Male connectors ensures a secure, weather-resistant, and stable mechanical attachment that prevents accidental disconnections in professional setups. Its compact 0.5-meter length helps eliminate signal degradation caused by excess cable routing, while maintaining neatness and reducing clutter in equipment enclosures and server rooms.

Suitable for

• Connecting wireless access points to external antennas
• Bridging RF equipment in telecommunication setups
• Short-run coaxial jumpers in enterprise networking
• Interfacing specialized radio frequency hardware

When it may not be suitable

This cable is not designed for long-distance runs because its 0.5-meter length strictly limits placement options between connected devices. Additionally, it will not be compatible with equipment that requires connector types other than N-Male, such as RP-SMA or TNC interfaces.

Key specifications

• Brand: Cisco
• Cable type: RF240 coaxial
• Length: 0.5 meters
• Connector type first end: N-Male
• Connector type second end: N-Male
• Application: High-frequency wireless and networking connections

How to use

To use the Cisco RF240 pigtail cable, first ensure that both the wireless device and the external antenna feature standard N-Female ports compatible with the N-Male connectors of the cable. Inspect the connectors for any debris or damage before installation. Align the connector pins carefully, push them straight into the mating ports, and rotate the outer threaded coupling ring clockwise until finger-tight. Avoid applying excessive force or sharp bending radii close to the connector boots to maintain optimal signal performance.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that both of your target devices utilize N-Female connectors
• Confirm that a 0.5-meter cable length is sufficient for the physical distance between your devices
• Check that your operating frequency aligns with RF240 coaxial cable capabilities

For best results, protect outdoor connections with appropriate weatherproofing tape and secure the cable to prevent strain on the ports.
