POS printer Citizen CT-S310II — Thermal, 160 mm/s, 80/58 mm paper, USB & Serial, Black
Citizen CT-S310II is a wired thermal POS printer designed for retail, hospitality and ticketing environments. It prints receipts and tickets at speeds up to 160 mm/s and supports both 80 mm and 58 mm paper rolls (maximum roll diameter 83 mm) with media thickness between 65 and 75 µm. The unit includes USB 2.0 and serial interfaces, built-in power supply, an autocutter with long service life, and native barcode support including QR, EAN and Code 128. The CT-S310II is Energy Star® qualified and includes paper-save and low-power features that reduce operational energy and paper use.
The CT-S310II combines a high print speed with efficient power management, reducing energy consumption by up to 45% compared with previous models. A paper-save function can lower paper usage by up to 20%, while the built-in power supply removes the need for an external power brick. Tool-free maintenance with an easily removable print head and autocutter simplifies service, and long-life print head and cutter modes extend operating intervals and reduce maintenance costs. Integrated support for 2D and linear barcodes broadens application possibilities.
Install the printer on a stable surface near the POS terminal and connect to the host system using either the USB or serial interface. Load a compatible paper roll (58 mm or 80 mm) ensuring the thermal side faces the print head and the roll fits within the 83 mm maximum diameter. Install the supplied driver or appropriate POS software drivers (Windows, Java POS, OPOS, CUPS) to enable full functionality. Use the front cover and tool-free removable cutter and print head for quick access in case of paper jams or routine maintenance. Configure barcode and print density settings through the driver or command set as required for receipts and tickets.
For reliable long-term operation, use thermal paper within the recommended thickness range (65–75 µm) and avoid exposure of printed receipts to direct sunlight or heat. Enable the printer’s energy-saving and paper-save functions where possible to reduce operating costs. Periodically inspect and, if needed, clean the print head and cutter following the maintenance instructions provided by the manufacturer to maximize service life.
