Angle Elbow 90° Press-fit Comap MultiSkin brass/tinned 16x1/2
Angle Elbow 90° Press-fit Comap MultiSkin brass/tinned 16x1/2
Angle Elbow 90° Press-fit Comap MultiSkin brass/tinned 16x1/2 is a compact press-fit elbow designed to connect 16 mm plastic or metal supply lines to 1/2" threaded fittings. Constructed from brass with an outer tinning layer and Comap's MultiSkin design, the fitting provides a secure 90-degree directional change in water and heating systems while maintaining corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. The product is intended for potable water and heating installations where a reliable, low-profile connection between pipework and threaded components is required.
The press-fit connection enables fast, solder-free installation while ensuring consistent mechanical engagement. Brass construction with tinning increases corrosion resistance and supports long-term durability in contact with potable water and heating media. The compact 90° geometry reduces space requirements at turn points and simplifies routing of pipes in tight installations. MultiSkin manufacturing ensures dimensional stability and compatibility with standard 16 mm piping systems and 1/2" threaded accessories.
Prepare the 16 mm pipe by cutting square and deburring the end. Mark insertion depth if required by the press-fit system and slide the fitting onto the pipe until fully seated. Use the appropriate press tool and jaws compatible with Comap MultiSkin press fittings to perform a complete compression at the designated location. Threaded connections should be sealed with suitable tape or sealant and tightened to recommended torque for 1/2" fittings. After installation, inspect joints visually and, where applicable, perform a pressure test according to local codes and standards.
Use only approved press tools and jaws specified for MultiSkin press fittings, follow installation depth guidelines, and test the system after installation. Avoid soldering or applying direct heat to the press-fit areas. For potable water systems, ensure compatible sealing materials are used on threaded connections and observe local plumbing regulations for pressure and temperature limits.
