Brass/ tin-plated press-fit tee Comap MultiSkin 20x20x20 mm
Brass/ tin-plated press-fit tee Comap MultiSkin 20x20x20 mm
Brass/ tin-plated press-fit tee Comap MultiSkin 20x20x20 mm is a three-way fitting designed to create a sealed branch in water and heating pipework. Manufactured from brass with a tin-plated surface, this press-fit tee connects three pipes of 20 mm diameter and is intended for use with copper, multilayer and compatible press-fit systems. The press connection avoids soldering and hot works, delivering a consistent joint geometry that supports reliable, maintenance-free performance in domestic and commercial installations.
The press-fit design enables quick installation and reduces labor time compared with traditional soldered joints. Tin plating on the brass body improves corrosion resistance and contact protection, while the MultiSkin geometry provides uniform compression for leak-tight connections. As a solder-free solution, this fitting minimizes fire risk on site and is suitable for modern plumbing and heating assemblies where speed and repeatability are important.
Ensure pipes are cut square, deburred and cleaned before assembly. Mark insertion depth on each pipe according to the corresponding press tool jaw gauge. Insert pipes fully into the tee until the stop and position the press tool over the fitting’s press zone. Operate the press tool following the tool manufacturer’s instructions to complete the crimp. After pressing, verify that the joint is seated correctly and, where applicable, perform a pressure test to confirm leak-tightness prior to system commissioning.
Use only approved press tools and jaws compatible with the Comap MultiSkin profile and 20 mm fittings. Follow local regulations for potable water and heating systems, and pressure-test the completed installation according to standards and project requirements. Avoid mechanical damage to the tin-plated surface during handling to maintain corrosion protection.
