Compression coupling Comap 3/4 x 20 AL/PEX (non‑nickel plated) - model 763EDX-02

Compression coupling Comap 3/4 x 20 AL/PEX (non‑nickel plated) is a mechanical press fitting designed for reliable connections in multilayer AL/PEX piping systems. Intended for 3/4 x 20 nominal size pipes, this coupling provides a press-style joint suitable for potable water and heating circuits. The non‑nickel plated finish offers the basic metallic surface without decorative plating, while the coupling’s design focuses on creating a leak‑tight connection when installed with appropriate press tooling.

Advantages

The coupling features a compact form factor for use in confined spaces and is compatible with standard press installation methods for multilayer AL/PEX pipes. Its construction supports stable hydraulic performance in domestic and light commercial plumbing. The non‑nickel plated exterior reduces surface finishing steps while maintaining the functional metal interface required for press joints.

Suitable for

• Press connections on multilayer AL/PEX pipe systems
• Potable water supply installations
• Domestic and light commercial heating circuits
• Repairs and retrofits where a mechanical press joint is preferred

Key specifications

• Pipe compatibility: multilayer AL/PEX pipes, nominal size 3/4 x 20
• Connection type: mechanical press compression coupling
• Finish: non‑nickel plated metal surface
• Application: potable water and heating systems
• Installation method: requires compatible press tool and jaws

How to use

Prepare pipe ends by cutting square and removing any burrs, then slide the coupling onto the pipe following the manufacturer’s guidance for insertion depth. Use the recommended press tool and correct jaw profile for AL/PEX press fittings to create the permanent joint. After pressing, inspect the joint visually and, where applicable, perform a pressure test according to project or local plumbing standards to confirm leak‑tightness.

Usage recommendations

Use only press tools and jaws approved for AL/PEX press fittings, ensure pipes are clean and free from deformation before assembly, and follow local codes for potable water and heating installations. Avoid using this non‑nickel plated coupling in applications requiring decorative finishes or where specific corrosion‑resistant platings are mandated.
