Wall elbow Comap TurboSKIN brass 16x1/2x16 compression 946631431-01

Wall elbow Comap TurboSKIN brass 16x1/2x16 compression 946631431-01 is a compact fitting designed to connect a 16 mm pipe to a 1/2" threaded outlet on wall-mounted fixtures. Manufactured from brass, the elbow combines a 90° change of direction with a compression-type connection on both 16 mm sides and a screw-threaded 1/2" outlet, providing a sealed transition between the piping system and valves, radiators or sanitary appliances. The TurboSKIN surface treatment improves wear resistance and supports corrosion performance expected in heating and plumbing installations.

Advantages

The brass construction offers mechanical strength and long-term dimensional stability under typical domestic and light-commercial heating and plumbing conditions. Compression connections provide a reliable mechanical clamp without requiring soldering, while the 1/2" threaded outlet ensures compatibility with standard fixtures and valves. The compact elbow form minimizes protrusion from the wall and simplifies alignment when installing radiators, towel rails or basin valves. The TurboSKIN surface finish contributes to scratch resistance and a consistent appearance after installation.

Suitable for

• Connecting 16 mm plastic or copper pipe to a 1/2" wall-mounted valve or fitting
• Domestic and light-commercial radiator and towel heater installations
• Plumbing connections to basin, bidet or thermostat valves where a compact wall elbow is required
• Retrofit or new-build heating and hot water distribution systems

Key specifications

• Material: brass body with protective TurboSKIN surface
• Pipe connection size: 16 mm compression on pipe inlets
• Outlet thread size: 1/2" male threaded outlet for fixture connection
• Orientation: 90° elbow for wall-to-appliance transitions
• Connection type: compression clamp on pipe side, screw thread on outlet side

How to use

Prepare the 16 mm pipe by cutting it square and deburring the end. Slide the compression nut and ferrule (olive) onto the pipe, insert the pipe fully into the elbow body, then tighten the compression nut to the manufacturer’s recommended torque to form a leak-free mechanical seal. Attach the 1/2" threaded outlet to the fixture or valve using appropriate sealing material on the thread if required. Position the elbow so the outlet aligns with the wall-mounted fitting and secure the connected fixture according to its installation instructions.

Usage recommendations

Use only compatible 16 mm pipe materials and ensure ferrules or olives are correctly sized. Do not overtighten compression nuts; follow torque guidance to avoid deforming the pipe or fitting. Inspect thread sealing and perform a pressure test after installation to confirm there are no leaks before commissioning the heating or plumbing system.
