Brass Press Tee Comap CMTZ2012, 20 x 1/2" x 20 mm, male thread (GZ) is a press-fit brass tee designed for plumbing and heating systems. It connects two 20 mm pipes with a central 1/2" male threaded outlet, enabling the integration of threaded components such as valves, gauges or hoses into press-joined copper, PEX or multilayer pipe networks. The fitting is manufactured from brass to provide corrosion resistance and mechanical strength in potable water and heating applications.
This press tee offers reliable, leak-resistant connections when installed with compatible press tools and rings. The brass construction provides durability and resistance to corrosion while the integrated male thread allows secure attachment of threaded devices without additional adapters. The compact tee design minimizes installation space and simplifies branching in pipe runs for domestic and light commercial systems.
Prepare the pipe ends by cutting square and deburring to ensure a clean press connection. Insert the pipe into the press end up to the marked insertion depth and position the appropriate press ring and tool over the fitting. Perform the press operation according to the press tool manufacturer's instructions to create a permanent, sealed joint. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the 1/2" male thread as required, then attach the threaded component and tighten to the recommended torque for the device. Verify all joints for leaks before placing the system into service.
Use only compatible press jaws and rings specified for the pipe material and 20 mm fitting size. Ensure water system is flushed and pressure-tested after installation. Avoid exposing the fitting to aggressive chemicals or environments that could accelerate dezincification; follow local regulations for potable water installations.
