Nozzle for 3D printer Creality Volcano 0.8 mm, for 1.75 mm filament, brass
Nozzle for 3D printer Creality Volcano 0.8 mm, for 1.75 mm filament, brass is a replacement extrusion tip designed for Volcano-style hotends. It features a 0.8 mm orifice that increases material flow compared with standard small-diameter nozzles, enabling higher deposition rates and shorter print times when printing larger parts or dense infill. Manufactured from brass, the nozzle offers good thermal conductivity and is intended for use with 1.75 mm thermoplastic filaments in compatible Creality Volcano-compatible setups.
The brass construction provides reliable thermal transfer for consistent melt flow and stable extrusion. The 0.8 mm diameter allows faster printing speeds and thicker layer heights, which reduces overall print time for large models or prototypes. Its geometry is compatible with Volcano-style hotends, delivering stronger infill and improved filament throughput while maintaining accessible maintenance and replacement compared to integrated hotend designs.
Replace the installed nozzle after heating the hotend to the appropriate temperature for the currently loaded filament to avoid thread damage and filament residues. Use an appropriate wrench to loosen and tighten the nozzle while holding the heater block steady. Calibrate first layer height and extrusion multiplier after installation to account for the larger nozzle diameter and adjust print speeds, layer height and retraction settings in your slicer to optimize print quality and flow. Monitor initial prints for ooze and stringing and fine-tune temperature and retraction as needed.
For best results, use the 0.8 mm brass nozzle when printing medium to large objects or when faster throughput is a priority. Increase layer height and extrusion width in the slicer to capitalize on the larger orifice, and avoid abrasive filaments (e.g., carbon-fiber or metal-filled) unless using a hardened nozzle variant to prevent accelerated wear.
