Adhesive CX80 RC22 anaerobic 10 ml, purple, low-strength threadlocker

CX80 RC22 anaerobic 10 ml threadlocker is a low-strength locking adhesive formulated to secure small threaded assemblies while still allowing disassembly with standard hand tools. The purple, low-viscosity liquid cures in the absence of air between metal surfaces to form a thin, vibration-resistant film that helps prevent fastener loosening and protects against corrosion in routine maintenance and light mechanical applications.

Advantages

The low-strength formulation provides reliable retention of small screws, bolts and studs while permitting future removal without heat or special extraction tools. Being anaerobic, the adhesive cures quickly where metal parts are closely mated and resists loosening caused by vibration. The compact 10 ml bottle is suitable for repair kits, maintenance benches and intermittent use, and the purple color helps identify treated fasteners.

Suitable for

• Securing small machine screws, set screws and bolts
• Maintenance and repair of household appliances and small equipment
• Electronics assemblies where low-strength locking is required
• Applications needing protection from loosening due to vibration and light corrosion

When it may not be suitable

This low-strength threadlocker is not intended for permanently-fixed joints or where the highest bond strength is required. It will not perform as designed on non-metallic substrates such as plastic or painted surfaces unless the parts are specifically compatible with anaerobic adhesives. For high-temperature, heavy-load or structural applications, a medium- or high-strength product should be selected.

Key specifications

• Formulation: anaerobic threadlocker
• Working volume: 10 ml bottle
• Strength level: low-strength (removable with standard tools)
• Color: purple (for visual identification)
• Intended substrates: metal-to-metal threaded connections
• Curing mechanism: oxygen exclusion (cures between closely mated metal parts)

How to use

Ensure mating threads are clean, dry and free of oil, grease and loose debris. Apply a drop or two to the male threads, assemble the parts and tighten to the required torque. Allow sufficient time for the adhesive to cure—initial handling strength develops quickly where metal surfaces are in close contact; full cure is achieved according to ambient temperature and material conditions. Disassembly is possible with normal hand tools when required.

What to consider before purchase

• Confirm that the application involves metal-to-metal threaded connections.
• Choose low-strength if future disassembly with standard tools is required.
• Assess environmental conditions (temperature, chemicals) to ensure compatibility.
• Verify bottle size (10 ml) is sufficient for expected usage or maintenance needs.

Usage recommendations

Use CX80 RC22 on clean metal threads in small assemblies and maintenance tasks; allow proper curing time and avoid applying to plastics or painted threads unless compatibility is confirmed. Store the bottle capped in a cool, dry place to preserve shelf life.
