Hybrid Adhesive CX80 HYBRICX 35C (210 g) transparent
CX80 HYBRICX 35C (210 g) transparent is a hybrid adhesive formulated for bonding and sealing a wide range of building and household materials while leaving a clear, non-pigmented finish. Supplied in a 210 g cartridge, this product combines characteristics of adhesives and sealants to provide durable adhesion on substrates such as wood, metal, glass, ceramics, many plastics and painted surfaces. It is intended for repair, finishing and general-purpose joining tasks where a discreet, transparent joint is required.
The formulation offers good initial tack and long-term elasticity, reducing stress on bonds exposed to vibration or thermal movement. The transparent appearance preserves the aesthetic of visible joints and trims. The cartridge format supports controlled application with a caulking gun, and the hybrid chemistry typically provides adhesion to diverse substrates without the need for separate primers on many surfaces. The cured material resists aging and offers water-resistant performance suitable for interior and exterior use.
This hybrid adhesive may not be appropriate for bonding certain low-energy plastics (for example polyethylene or polypropylene) without specific surface preparation or primers. It is not formulated as a structural adhesive for heavy load-bearing metal connections where mechanical fasteners or epoxy structural adhesives are required. For applications requiring paintability with some water-based coatings, testing on a small area is recommended.
Cut the cartridge nozzle to the desired bead size and fit it into a compatible caulking gun. Prepare bonding surfaces by ensuring they are clean, dry and free from dust, oil or loose particles. Apply the adhesive evenly along the joint or surface to be bonded, then press the parts together and hold or brace until sufficient grab is achieved. Excess uncured adhesive can be smoothed with a suitable tool or a damp cloth. Allow the adhesive to cure fully according to ambient temperature and humidity before subjecting the joint to loads or painting.
For best results, test adhesion on a small inconspicuous area if substrate compatibility is uncertain. Store cartridges in a cool, dry place and use within the manufacturer’s recommended shelf life. When bonding glass or visible trims, apply a consistent thin bead and press firmly to avoid trapped air and to achieve a neat, transparent joint.
