Network management card CyberPower RMCARD205

The CyberPower RMCARD205 is a full-featured network management card for remotely managing, monitoring, and controlling CyberPower OR and PR Series UPS systems and ATS PDUs over a standard web browser or via a network management system. It supports common network protocols and provides event logging, scheduled shutdown/startup/reboot, automatic notifications via Email, SMS, SNMP traps or Syslog, and integration with PowerPanel® Business Edition Client for orderly OS shutdowns. An optional environmental sensor can monitor ambient temperature and humidity. The card includes MD5 security management and comes with a three-year warranty.

How to use

Install the RMCARD205 into a compatible CyberPower OR or PR Series UPS or ATS PDU following the device manufacturer’s installation guide. Connect the card to your network via the RJ-45 Ethernet port and configure IP settings either via DHCP or a static IP. Access the management interface through a standard web browser or integrate the card into an NMS using SNMP. Configure scheduled shutdown, startup and reboot tasks, set event actions and notifications, and install PowerPanel® Business Edition Client on protected servers to enable automatic safe shutdown.

Usage recommendations

For reliable monitoring, place the optional ENVIROSENSOR in a representative location within the server room or IT closet and define alarm thresholds in Celsius or Fahrenheit. Regularly update network credentials and maintain firmware updates to ensure MD5-based security integrity and compatibility with your NMS.
