Managed Switch D-Link DGS-1210-26 L2 Gigabit Ethernet 24 Ports
The D-Link DGS-1210-26 is a managed Layer 2 Gigabit Ethernet switch with 24 RJ-45 ports and a switching capacity of 52 Gbit/s. Designed for rack mounting, the unit supports a broad set of IEEE networking standards and essential management features for small to medium business networks. It includes energy-efficient Ethernet support, a MAC address table sized for typical office deployments, and 10G uplink capability to integrate with higher-speed core devices.
The switch provides a mix of performance and manageability through support for VLAN segmentation, QoS, link aggregation and spanning tree protocols. Its managed design enables centralized configuration and monitoring while the 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports deliver full-duplex throughput for connected devices. Hardware and protocol compatibility with common IEEE standards ensures interoperable operation with existing network equipment.
Install the switch in a standard equipment rack using the included mounting brackets and connect power according to the installation manual. Attach network devices to the Gigabit RJ-45 ports and, if required, provision 10G uplinks to higher-speed infrastructure. Access the switch management interface via the web GUI, CLI or SNMP to configure VLANs, QoS policies, link aggregation groups and security settings. Apply firmware updates and backup configurations as part of routine maintenance to ensure stability and compatibility.
Place the switch in a temperature-controlled rack location with adequate airflow. Use link aggregation for high-demand server links and enable VLANs to separate traffic types. Monitor port utilization and set QoS priorities for latency-sensitive services. Maintain updated firmware and periodically export configuration files for recovery planning.
