This controller combines multiple communication options (RS-485, Wiegand and TCP/IP) to fit diverse installation topologies and legacy readers. High-capacity local storage for users and swipe records reduces dependency on immediate server connectivity while enabling reliable offline operation. The device supports common access control functions—interlock, group combination, anti-passback and remote unlock—helping implement complex access policies. A range of alarm inputs and tamper detection improves site security, and PoE support simplifies power and network cabling for installations that use Power over Ethernet.
Install the controller in a suitable equipment enclosure and connect door hardware, readers and sensors according to the installation plan. Choose the appropriate communication method—RS-485 or Wiegand—for each reader and connect network cabling for TCP/IP or PoE where available. Configure system parameters and user credentials through the management software, define access zones, schedules and anti-passback policies, and synchronize the device clock. After configuration, verify door inputs, exit buttons and alarm responses, and test user enrollment and event logging to confirm correct operation.
For reliable performance, plan cable runs to minimize electrical interference on RS-485 lines, use quality readers compatible with Wiegand formats W26 or W34, and back up configuration data regularly. If PoE is used, ensure the switch provides adequate power budget. Schedule firmware updates during maintenance windows and test alarm integration with the central monitoring system.
