DATACOM Keystone Jack 4030 is a Cat6 UTP single-port keystone in white designed for terminating unshielded twisted-pair cables in structured cabling systems. The module supports Category 6 performance for Ethernet networks and is suitable for installation into patch panels, wall plates and keystone modules. The compact design features a top punch-down with a protective cap and a dual-type punch-down field compatible with both LSA and 110 wiring methods.
The keystone jack provides reliable Cat6 performance for data and voice transmission and simplifies installation with a top-access punch-down and protective cover. Its unshielded UTP design reduces cost and complexity where shielded cabling is not required, and the standardized keystone form factor ensures compatibility with common panels and wall plates.
Strip the outer sheath of the UTP Cat6 cable to expose the pairs, position conductors according to the keystone color code and insert them into the DUAL punch-down field. Use a suitable punch-down tool from the top access to terminate each conductor and trim excess wire. Close the protective cap after termination and mount the keystone into a compatible patch panel or wall plate until it clicks into place.
For best performance, use with Cat6-rated UTP cable and avoid running near strong electromagnetic sources. Verify terminations with a cable tester after installation to ensure continuity and proper pairing.
