Connection box DATACOM STP CAT6 2-port (model 4235) is a compact metal enclosure for joining and terminating two shielded CAT6 Ethernet cables. The silver junction box houses two LSA punch-down fields and maintains cable shielding to help preserve signal integrity in small network installations, patching scenarios and endpoint terminations in homes, offices or telecom cabinets.
The DATACOM STP CAT6 connection box supports full 8‑pin 1:1 wiring (1-1, 2-2, 3-3, 4-4, 5-5, 6-6, 7-7, 8-8) and provides metal shielding for reduced electromagnetic interference. Its compact dimensions (26 mm height × 69 mm depth × 41 mm width) and two LSA punch-down ports allow neat, secure cable joints without the need to splice conductors. The silver metal housing offers mechanical protection for terminations and helps maintain the shield continuity (S-S).
Open the metal enclosure, prepare the STP CAT6 cable ends and route them into the box so that the foil/braid can be connected to the housing for shield continuity. Terminate each conductor pair on the corresponding LSA punch-down field following the 1:1 pin mapping. After punching down, trim any excess conductors, verify correct wiring and close the enclosure to secure the terminations and maintain mechanical protection.
For reliable performance, ensure the cable shield is properly bonded to the box when terminating STP cables, keep cable pairs untwisted only as long as necessary for punching down, and avoid excessive bending radii at entry points. Use suitable tools for LSA termination and verify continuity with a network tester after installation.
