Cable gland DATACOM 9383 PG13.5 for cables 6–12 mm, grey
Cable gland DATACOM 9383 PG13.5 for cables 6–12 mm, grey
DATACOM 9383 cable gland with PG13.5 thread is designed to provide strain relief and sealing for single or multi-core cables with diameters from 6 to 12 mm. The grey gland is intended for mounting into a 21 mm hole in electrical enclosures, junction boxes and industrial panels to protect cable entries from dust and to secure cable positioning while maintaining IP65 protection.
The PG13.5 thread ensures secure mechanical fastening and reliable sealing. Constructed to provide IP65 level protection, the gland prevents dust ingress and preserves enclosure integrity. Its design accommodates a range of cable diameters (6–12 mm), allowing versatile use for different cable types. The grey finish matches common electrical panels and mounts easily into a 21 mm cutout.
Drill or prepare a 21 mm diameter hole in the enclosure or panel. Insert the gland body from the outside, pass the cable through the gland, then tighten the nut or locking mechanism according to the enclosure design until the gland seals around the cable. Ensure the cable diameter falls within the 6–12 mm range for effective sealing and strain relief. Verify the IP65 seal after installation by checking that the gland sits flush and the sealing surfaces are undamaged.
Use the DATACOM 9383 gland with cables whose outer diameter matches the specified range (6–12 mm). Avoid overtightening to prevent damage to the cable jacket or the gland's seal. Replace the gland if the sealing element shows wear or cuts to maintain IP65 protection.
