Cable gland DATACOM 9386 PG21 for cables 13–18 mm, grey
Cable gland DATACOM 9386 PG21 for cables 13–18 mm, grey
DATACOM 9386 PG21 cable gland is a grey cable entry designed to secure and seal cables with diameters from 13 to 18 mm. It provides strain relief and environmental protection for cables entering electrical enclosures, junction boxes or equipment panels. The gland fits into a 29 mm installation hole and has an IP65 rating for protection against dust and water jets.
The cable gland offers a compact solution for cable organization at enclosure entries, combining mechanical fixation, strain relief and sealing in a single component. Its PG21 size and 29 mm mounting requirement make it compatible with standard panel cutouts. The IP65 rating ensures protection in both indoor and outdoor installations where resistance to dust and water is required.
Drill or prepare a 29 mm diameter hole in the panel or enclosure where the cable will pass. Insert the gland body into the hole from the outside or inside according to the panel design, then pass the cable through the gland and tighten the sealing nut to compress the internal seal around the cable. Ensure the cable diameter falls within the 13–18 mm range for correct sealing and strain relief. Verify the gland is tightened to achieve IP65 protection without over-torquing.
Use the DATACOM 9386 PG21 gland for installations where a dust- and water-resistant cable entry is required. Choose cables within the specified diameter range and check compatibility with panel thickness and material. For critical or outdoor installations, inspect the seal periodically and replace the gland if the seal shows signs of wear or damage.
