Cable gland DATACOM 9388 PG29 for 18–25 mm cables, grey
Cable gland DATACOM 9388 PG29 for 18–25 mm cables, grey
DATACOM 9388 is a PG29 cable gland designed for routing and protecting cables entering distribution or control enclosures. It accepts cables with outer diameters from 18 to 25 mm, fits into a 37.5 mm mounting hole and is finished in grey with IP65 protection to provide dust and water resistance for typical panel and enclosure applications.
The cable gland offers secure strain relief and a sealed entry point that helps prevent dust and splash water from reaching the enclosure interior. Its PG29 thread and defined mounting size simplify installation into standard panels, while the grey finish provides a neutral appearance that suits industrial and networking equipment.
Drill or prepare a 37.5 mm mounting hole in the panel or enclosure, insert the gland body through the hole and secure according to panel thickness and mounting instructions. Pass the cable (18–25 mm diameter) through the gland and tighten to achieve strain relief and the required IP65 sealing. Verify that the gland compresses evenly around the cable and that the enclosure remains sealed after installation.
Use the gland only with cables within the specified 18–25 mm diameter range and install into the correct 37.5 mm hole. Ensure the gland is tightened sufficiently to achieve IP65 protection but avoid over-tightening that could damage the cable jacket.
