Polishing Pad with Hook-and-Loop Back Dedra 125 mm × 25 mm hard (orange)
Polishing Pad with Hook-and-Loop Back Dedra 125 mm × 25 mm hard (orange)
Dedra hard polishing pad with hook-and-loop backing, 125 mm diameter and 25 mm thickness, is designed for use with rotary and random orbital polishers that accept 125 mm backing plates. The firm, dense foam provides stable contact with painted surfaces and metal, enabling efficient heavy-cut polishing, surface leveling, and preparation before applying finishing compounds or waxes.
The pad's hard foam construction delivers consistent pressure distribution and minimizes pad deformation under load, which improves control during aggressive polishing tasks. Hook-and-loop attachment allows quick fitting and removal on compatible backing plates. The 125 mm diameter balances working area and access to tighter panel areas, while the 25 mm thickness adds support and reduces heat transfer to the surface.
Attach the pad to a compatible 125 mm backing plate on your polisher using the hook-and-loop backing. Start with a low to moderate speed to spread polishing compound evenly, then increase speed and apply steady, overlapping passes for heavy-cut work. Use light to moderate pressure and keep the pad flat against the surface to avoid creating swirls or uneven spots. Periodically check pad condition and clean or replace it if saturated with compound or damaged.
For best results on lacquered and clearcoat finishes, pair the pad with an appropriate heavy-cut or compound polish and test on an inconspicuous area first. Allow the pad to cool between extended passes and clean it regularly to maintain cutting performance and avoid contamination of the surface.
