Dedra DED7990 Dual Action Polisher 300W 75mm

The Dedra DED7990 is a compact dual-action polisher engineered for precision surface finishing and automotive detailing. Featuring a 300W motor and a 75mm backing plate, this tool is specifically designed to handle intricate areas and tight spaces where larger polishers cannot reach. By combining rotary and orbital motions, the device effectively minimizes the risk of paint overheating and the formation of swirl marks, providing a smooth and professional result on various automotive surfaces.

Advantages

The primary benefit of the Dedra DED7990 is its dual-action technology, which ensures a safer polishing process by reducing heat buildup on the paintwork. Its lightweight and ergonomic design allows for extended use without significant operator fatigue, making it an excellent choice for detailed paint correction. The 75mm backing plate is perfectly sized for spot repairs, bumpers, and complex body contours, ensuring consistent pressure and uniform results across the entire treated area.

Suitable for

• Automotive paint correction and detailing
• Polishing small or hard-to-reach areas on vehicle bodies
• Removing swirl marks and light surface scratches
• Finishing bumpers, mirrors, and door pillars

When it may not be suitable

This polisher is not intended for large-scale surface area work, such as polishing an entire vehicle roof or hood, due to its small 75mm backing plate. It is also not designed for heavy-duty industrial grinding or cutting tasks that require high-torque motors.

Key specifications

• Power output: 300W
• Backing plate diameter: 75mm
• Action type: Dual-action (rotary and orbital)
• Application: Automotive detailing and paint finishing

How to use

To use the Dedra DED7990, first ensure the surface is thoroughly cleaned and decontaminated. Attach the appropriate polishing pad to the 75mm backing plate. Apply a small amount of polishing compound to the pad and place it against the surface before turning the tool on to prevent splatter. Move the polisher in slow, overlapping passes using light pressure. Keep the tool moving constantly to avoid heat concentration in one spot. Once the desired finish is achieved, wipe away any residue with a clean microfiber cloth.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that the 75mm pad size meets your specific project requirements
• Ensure you have compatible polishing pads and compounds for your paint type
• Consider the power cord length relative to your workspace

Usage recommendations

Always start with a less aggressive pad and compound combination to test the surface reaction. Maintain a clean workspace to prevent dust or debris from being caught under the pad, which could cause scratches.
