How to use

Uncoil the DEFA eConnect cable and, if available, attach the retractable smart cap strap so it hangs away from the connector. Plug the Type 2 connector firmly into the vehicle inlet and the charge point socket until you feel a secure engagement. Follow the charging station instructions to start the session. After charging, end the session according to the station’s procedure, unplug the cable, replace the smart cap over the Type 2 connector, and coil the cable using the supplied velcro storage strap or carry it in a suitable bag.

Usage recommendations

Store the cable dry and hang or coil it with the supplied strap to avoid kinks. Use the lockable docking station or dedicated cable bag (available separately) to protect the cable and connector from theft and dirt when not in use. Avoid using abrasive cleaners on the connector and inspect the cable periodically for wear or damage.
