Deka roofing sealing tape Alubutyl 15 cm x 10 m, brick color, D-415-8004
Deka Alubutyl roofing sealing tape 15 cm x 10 m in brick color is a self-adhesive Alubutyl strip designed for sealing roof penetrations, joints, flashings and small repairs. The tape combines a butyl-based adhesive layer with a colored aluminium outer facing to deliver a durable, flexible and weather-resistant barrier that adheres to metal, bitumen and many common construction substrates. Its 15 cm width and 10 m length make it suitable for linear sealing runs and patch repairs without specialized tools.
The tape provides immediate tack and long-term adhesion to a variety of surfaces, forming a watertight seal that resists ageing and environmental exposure. Its aluminium-facing in brick color improves visual integration on tiled or colored roofs while offering additional mechanical protection for the adhesive layer. The flexible composition conforms to irregular shapes and roof details, reducing the need for mechanical fasteners and facilitating faster repair work.
Prepare the surface by cleaning it of dust, loose material, oil and frost; the substrate should be dry and free of contaminants. Cut the required length of tape and remove the release liner. Position the tape carefully over the area to be sealed and press firmly to ensure full contact; use a roller or hand pressure to remove trapped air and improve adhesion. Overlap adjacent strips as needed to maintain a continuous watertight barrier. For best results apply at temperatures recommended for butyl-based tapes and avoid stretching the tape during application.
Store the tape in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme heat. For long-term installations, inspect sealed areas periodically and reapply tape where adhesion has deteriorated. When applying on porous or very rough substrates, consider a compatible primer to improve initial adhesion. Follow safety guidance for working at height and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
