3.5-inch HDD Drive Caddy with Cable Dell 575-BCSJ, Slim form factor
3.5-inch HDD Drive Caddy with Cable Dell 575-BCSJ, Slim form factor
The Dell 3.5-inch HDD Drive Caddy, slim form factor, is designed to house a standard 3.5" hard disk inside compatible Dell systems or enclosures. Supplied with a cable for direct connection, the caddy provides secure mounting points and a straightforward interface for data and power. It fits slim internal bays where a full-depth mounting tray is not required and facilitates replacement, installation, and maintenance of internal HDD storage in desktops, workstations and compatible rack or tower enclosures.
The slim caddy offers a compact mounting solution that reduces internal space consumption while keeping the drive securely fastened. Inclusion of a dedicated cable simplifies installation and reduces the need to source separate connectors. The design provides consistent alignment of data and power interfaces for reliable signal and power delivery, and it is compatible with systems built to accept slim 3.5" drive assemblies.
Power down the host system and disconnect from mains before installation. Insert the 3.5" hard disk into the caddy, aligning screw holes with the mounting points, and secure the drive with appropriate fasteners. Connect the supplied cable to the drive's data and power interfaces, then route the cable to the host system connector and attach it according to the system's service manual. Reassemble the chassis, restore power and verify that the system detects the installed drive through BIOS/UEFI or the operating system's disk management utility.
Use compatible 3.5" SATA or supported interface hard drives and follow the host system manufacturer's installation guidelines. Handle the drive and caddy on an anti-static surface and avoid excessive force when connecting the cable. After installation, run disk diagnostics and, if necessary, initialize or format the drive per your storage configuration standards.
