Description

This DeLOCK enclosure allows installation of a single M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD in 2280, 2260 and 2242 sizes and connects directly to a PlayStation 5 using the two USB Type-A connectors. The robust metal housing with side air vents supports optimal temperature management for the SSD. The enclosure supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbit/s) data transfer and has a black finish.

Advantages

The enclosure offers a tool-free installation: the lid slides back with light pressure and the SSD is secured on the PCB with a rubber nipple, then the lid locks into place. An additional USB Type-A port is passed through from the PS5 so the enclosure’s port can be used for extra USB devices or to charge a controller. The included USB extension cable enables connection to a PlayStation 4 for copying games to the M.2 SSD and can also be used with a PC or laptop.

How to use

Slide the enclosure lid backwards with light pressure, place the M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD onto the PCB and secure it with the integrated rubber nipple, then reattach the lid until it locks. Connect the enclosure to the PS5 using the two USB Type-A connectors; use the enclosure’s forwarded USB Type-A port to attach additional USB devices or to charge a controller. To copy games from a PS4, connect the enclosure with the supplied extension cable to the PS4 and follow the console’s transfer procedures. The enclosure can also be connected to a PC or laptop via the extension cable for file transfers.
