This aluminium enclosure by DeLOCK is designed for a single 2.5" SATA HDD or SSD with a maximum drive height of 9.5 mm. The slim black housing provides tool-free external storage expansion and supports SATA III drives with hot-swappable operation.

Advantages

The enclosure uses a VIA chipset to support SuperSpeed USB transfer rates up to 10 Gbps (USB 3.2 Gen 2 / USB 3.1 Gen 2), allowing the full SATA 6 Gbps performance of the installed drive. A USB Type-C™ female port on the housing provides modern connectivity, and a USB Type-C™ to USB Type-A cable is included for compatibility with legacy USB Type-A ports. The aluminium construction offers durability and passive heat dissipation while maintaining a slim profile.

How to use

Open the enclosure, insert a compatible 2.5" SATA HDD or SSD (max. 9.5 mm height) into the SATA connector, then close the housing. Connect the enclosure to a PC or laptop using the supplied USB Type-C™ to USB Type-A cable or an optional USB Type-C™ to USB Type-C™ cable for a Type-C or Thunderbolt port. The drive should be recognised by the operating system and be ready for immediate use; no additional power adapter is required.

Usage recommendations

For best performance, connect the enclosure to a USB 3.2 Gen 2 / USB 3.1 Gen 2 or Thunderbolt port. Use SSDs or SATA III drives to utilise the full transfer speed and ensure periodic backups of important data.
