Delock Fan Grill 40 x 40 mm Plastic Black

The Delock Fan Grill 40 x 40 mm Plastic Black is a practical computer component accessory designed to enhance safety and organization within PC systems and electronic enclosures. Built specifically for standard 40 x 40 mm cooling fans, this plastic black fan grill serves as a protective barrier to shield fan blades from potential physical damage while preventing loose cables or foreign objects from interfering with the moving parts. Its neutral black design seamlessly integrates into most internal hardware setups without drawing unnecessary attention.

Advantages

This cooling fan grill provides reliable physical protection for both the hardware and surrounding components by covering exposed fan blades. Manufactured from durable plastic, it offers a lightweight construction that adds minimal weight and bulk to the fan assembly. The accessory effectively prevents cables from catching in the spinning blades, which contributes to uninterrupted airflow and reduces the risk of electrical shorts or mechanical failures. Additionally, it provides a clean, finished appearance for DIY PC builds and custom electronic projects.

Suitable for

• Covering 40 x 40 mm cooling fans in desktop PC cases
• Protecting fans in custom electronic enclosures and DIY hardware projects
• Preventing cable obstruction in tight computer hardware compartments
• Improving safety in compact server builds and mini-PC setups

When it may not be suitable

This fan grill is not designed for cooling fans of dimensions other than 40 x 40 mm, as it will not fit correctly. It may also not be suitable for industrial environments that require heavy-duty metal guards to withstand extreme impact or high-temperature conditions.

Key specifications

• Compatible fan size: 40 x 40 mm
• Material: Plastic
• Color: Black
• Component type: Fan grill

How to use

To install the fan grill, align the mounting holes of the grill with the corresponding screw holes on the outer face of the 40 x 40 mm cooling fan. Secure the grill in place using standard fan screws, passing them through both the grill and the fan frame into the mounting surface. Ensure that the screws are tightened evenly to hold the assembly firmly without cracking the plastic frame. Once installed, verify that the fan blades spin freely and do not make contact with the grill surface.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify the exact dimensions of your cooling fan to ensure it measures 40 x 40 mm
• Check available space in your enclosure to ensure the added thickness of the grill fits properly
• Ensure you have the appropriate screws of correct length to mount both the fan and the grill

Usage recommendations: Regularly inspect the fan grill for dust and debris accumulation to maintain optimal airflow and prevent obstruction. Clean the surface periodically with compressed air or a soft brush while the system is powered off.
