Delock Fan Grill 40 x 40 mm Black

The Delock Fan Grill 40 x 40 mm Black is a protective accessory designed for computer cooling systems and case ventilation. Measuring 40 x 40 mm, this metal guard is engineered to fit standard small-form-factor cooling fans commonly used in PC builds, electronic enclosures, and custom hardware setups. Its primary function is to safeguard fan blades from obstruction while ensuring that airflow remains unobstructed for efficient hardware cooling.

Advantages

This fan grill provides reliable physical protection for your computer components by preventing loose cables, fingers, and foreign objects from coming into contact with moving fan blades. Constructed with a durable finish, the black grill integrates seamlessly into dark PC interiors and custom builds for a clean appearance. The open-wire design ensures minimal air resistance, allowing your cooling system to maintain maximum airflow efficiency and thermal performance without generating extra noise.

Suitable for

• PC case ventilation and small-form-factor builds
• Protecting 40 mm cooling fans in electronic enclosures
• Securing internal wiring from fan blade interference
• Custom hardware modifications requiring compact guards

When it may not be suitable

This product is not compatible with fans that have dimensions larger or smaller than 40 x 40 mm. It is also unsuitable for applications requiring absolute dust filtration, as this grill is strictly designed for mechanical protection and does not include a mesh filter layer.

Key specifications

• Dimensions: 40 x 40 mm
• Color: Black
• Material: Metal wire construction
• Compatibility: Standard 40 mm cooling fans

How to use

To install the fan grill, place it directly over the outer frame of your 40 x 40 mm cooling fan, aligning the mounting holes of the grill with the screw holes of the fan and the chassis mounting points. Insert standard fan screws through the grill corners, fan frame, and into the case or heatsink, then tighten them securely. Ensure that the wires are routed away from the center of the fan blades before final tightening.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that your fan size matches the 40 x 40 mm dimensions exactly
• Check available clearance depth in your case for the grill thickness
• Ensure you have standard mounting screws compatible with your fan setup

Usage recommendations: Regularly inspect the fan grill and the surrounding area for dust accumulation to maintain optimal airflow and prevent thermal throttling in your system.
